Material and maintenance
The body and lid are constructed from double-walled Mullite ceramic — heat-resistant to extreme temperatures, non-porous, and rust-free. The fiber seal between the lid and base ensures an almost airtight closure. The stainless steel grill grate and MLS components are easy to remove. The bamboo handles are heat-resistant and durable. Ash residue can be removed from the bottom with the included ash poker.
Practical tips
- For high temperatures (pizza): open both vents completely and preheat for 20–30 minutes with the pizza stones on the MLS.
- For low & slow: light a small amount of charcoal and close both vents to 80–90%. Use wood chips for smoke flavor.
- Protect the ceramic body with a protective cover in frosty conditions — ceramic can crack due to temperature shocks.
- Clean the grate after each session with a grill brush while the grate is still warm.
