Litokol Hyperflex K100 is a highly deformable C2TE S2 class cement adhesive for ceramics, stoneware, large format slabs, mosaics and natural stone, for indoor and outdoor use. It comes in a 20 kg bag.
Product & Application
The S2 classification is what it's all about: the adhesive can move with a working substrate without detaching. It also doesn't sag on a wall and maintains its open time for a long period, so you won't run out of time when working with large slabs. Its low specific gravity yields approximately 15% more coverage than a conventional C2 cement adhesive, and the dust reduction is noticeably beneficial during mixing.
- Ceramics, porcelain stoneware and thin laminate stoneware
- Large format slabs up to 320 × 160 cm
- Marble, granite, natural stone and engineered stone
- Glass and ceramic mosaics, without plastic spacers
- Underfloor heating, facades, terraces and balconies
- Basins, swimming pools and fountains
- Tiling over existing tiles
Please note: Do not use this adhesive where the floor needs to be trafficable quickly; it sets normally and is only trafficable after 24 hours. Also, do not apply it thicker than 15 mm.
Substrate & Compatibility
An adhesive is never stronger than the surface it adheres to. Therefore, the pre-treatment depends on the type of substrate.
- Cement screed, levelling compound and plasterwork
- Concrete, aerated concrete and fiber cement board
- Gypsum and anhydrite, after proper pre-treatment
- Existing tiles, mosaics, stone and marble
- Existing floors with organic adhesive residues
- Waterproofing systems and decoupling membranes
- Residual moisture in anhydrite a maximum of 0.5%, measured with a carbide meter
- D dusty, highly absorbent substrate should be primed with a consolidating primer
- Smooth, compact substrate should first be degreased and treated with an adhesion primer
If you are unsure whether a substrate is suitable, first create a test piece in an inconspicuous area.
Application
Adhere strictly to the mixing water quantity and work within the open time. These two factors determine whether the adhesion meets the product's promises.
- Mixing water 33 to 35%: 6.6 to 7 liters per 20 kg bag
- Add water to the bucket, then slowly add the powder and mix mechanically
- Allow to mature for approximately 5 minutes, then mix briefly again
- Working time approximately 8 hours at +23 °C
- Open time approximately 30 minutes; shorter in heat, wind, or on absorbent substrates
- First a thin layer with the smooth side, immediately thereafter with the notched side
- Contact area at least 65 to 70% indoors, 100% outdoors and under heavy loads
- Outdoors, with large slabs and in swimming pools, also back-butter the tiles
- Grout after 6 to 8 hours on the wall, after 24 hours on the floor
- Apply between +5 °C and +35 °C
- Protect outdoors for 24 hours against rain and sun, for 5 to 7 days against frost
Litokol designates this product for professional use. Wear protective clothing and follow the label and safety data sheet.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does S2 mean and why is it important? S2 is the highest deformation class according to EN 12002: the cured adhesive can move more than 5 mm. This is what you need for underfloor heating, outdoors, and with large slabs, where the substrate is subject to movement.
How much water goes into a bag? 6.6 to 7 liters per 20 kg bag, or 33 to 35%. More water leads to shrinkage and reduces final strength.
How long can I work with a mixed bucket? The working time is approximately 8 hours at +23 °C. The open time on the floor is shorter: about 30 minutes, and significantly less in heat or wind.
Can this adhesive be used in a swimming pool? Yes. The data sheet lists basins, swimming pools, and fountains as applications. When working outdoors and in swimming pools, always back-butter the tiles and ensure 100% contact area.
